They played all sorts of music and combined it so effortlessly. We were never looking to emulate their sound, but just walk away influenced to do our own thing and not be afraid to go against the grain.

Our last record, we could draw from everything from zero to twenty-one years old, and this record we had a lot shorter of a time span. It was kind of the time when everyone, all of our friends from high school were finishing up college, and we kind of stopped going to college and we’re doing the band full time, so everything’s kind of rocky and unstable.
